Surface Preparation : -
A. Concrete Floor Treatment :
B Metal Floor Treatment :
It is important to understand that quality of sub floor is a decisive influence on the durability of floor
coatings. The condition of sub-floor must be thoroughly examined for oiliness, moisture, strength and creates. Following Procedure should be followed for sub-floor treatment before any floor coating.
Depending on the condition and nature of sub-floor, necessary methods of surface preparation should be carried out.
a) Sand / Grit Blasting : Steel Grits are used for scouring of metals.
b) Flame Spraying : Flame spraying for removal of contaminated oil, fats, organics, etc.
c) Chemical Cleaning : Acid cleaning of surface followed by water wash.
The best method for metal treatment is sand / Grit Blasting only. If that is not possible, the steel
must be thoroughly degreased, cleaned roughened with steel brushes.
• After surface preparation, the substrate should be cleaned from dust & loose particles with the help of broom or duster.
• Apply primer coat on treated surface.
• Apply the requisite system (ref. user's grid) to achieve required flooring.
• Allow lining / coating to cure for 48 hours prior to put it in application.
